This information collection is associated with the maritime security requirements mandated by the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) of 2002. Security assessments, security plans and other security-related requirements are found in Title 33 CFR Subchapter H, and 33 CFR Parts 120 and 128. The statutory authority for the requirements are 46 U.S. Code (U.S.C.) 70103 (formerly 33 U.S.C. 1226(c)), 46 U.S.C. 70034 (formerly 33 U.S.C. 1231), 46 U.S.C. Chapter 701, and 46 U.S.C. § 70051 & 70052 (formerly 50 U.S.C. 191 & 192). This authority is delegated by the Secretary to the Coast Guard via the Department of Homeland Security Delegation No. 0170.1, Revision No. 01.2. (II)(70) and (72).
