7 CFR Part 210 National School Lunch Program

This is a revision of the collection in conjunction with the final rule, Child Nutrition Programs: Meal Patterns Consistent with the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (RIN 0584-AE88). The revisions are to the following provisions within the National School Lunch Program: professional standards exception, Buy American, substituting vegetables for grains in Tribal communities, and menu planning options. The National School Lunch Program safeguards the health and well-being of the Nation's children and provides free or reduced-price school lunches to eligible students through subsidies to schools. The National School Lunch Program is administered at the State and school food authority levels and the operations include the submission and approval of applications, the execution of agreements, submission of claims, payment of claims, and program monitoring. 7 CFR sets forth the policies and procedures for the administration of this program.
