The federal regulations governing the FMNP program (7 CFR, Part 248) require that certain program-related information be collected and that full and complete records concerning FMNP operations are maintained. The information reporting and record-keeping burdens are necessary to ensure appropriate and efficient management of the FMNP program.
Reduction in the burden hours are due to program changes, resulting from FMNP State agencies transitioning from paper coupon systems to eSolutions and the addition of one existing requirement that has been in use without PRA approval, and program adjustments that account for changes in the number of FMNP participants, FMNP authorized outlets, and FMNP State and local agencies. With this revision, FNS estimates that this collection will have 1,351,492 respondents, 4,149,393.32 responses, and 1,175,964.09 burden hours.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
