The federal regulations governing the FMNP program (7 CFR, Part 248) require that certain program-related information be collected and that full and complete records concerning FMNP operations are maintained. The information reporting and record-keeping burdens are necessary to ensure appropriate and efficient management of the FMNP program.
This collection is currently approved with 929,211 burden hours and 4,968,339 responses. For the burden hours, FNS estimates an overall increase of 711,696 burden hours due to program changes and adjustments, with the increase in hours from the program changes (additional programmatic requirements being added into the collection and increases in FMNP local agencies) offsetting the decrease in hours due to the adjustments (decrease in FMNP participants and authorized outlets). For the responses, FNS estimates on overall decrease of 59,145 responses due to program changes and adjustments, with the decrease in responses due to adjustments offsetting the increase in responses due to program changes. With this revision, FNS estimates that this collection will have 1,640,907 burden hours and 4,909,194 responses.
