The agency updated the burden hours reported here to reflect the addition of Mobile Passport Control (MPC) and Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks. The agency also added additional information regarding the languages in which this form is available. As MPC and APC become standard ways of submitting customs information around the country, CBP will adjust burden hour estimates accordingly.

The Customs Declaration, CBP Form 6059-B, facilitates the clearance of persons and their goods arriving in the U.S. by requiring basic information necessary for CBP to determine enforcement of all applicable laws and regulations. CBP is testing automated versions of the Customs Declaration, including Mobile Passport Control (MPC) and Automated Passport Control (APC) to be used instead of the paper form.
