To assist American farmers and needy people by purchasing commodities and delivering them to State agencies that, in turn, distribute them to organizations for use in providing food assistance to those in need.
This is a revision of a currently approved collection. The revision in burden hours reflect an estimated increase in participation and changes to verification and household reporting requirements as the result of the implementation of the final rule: Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations: Income Deductions and Resource Eligibility. The net increase in burden hours, due to program changes, is 1,899.
