YouthBuild grantees collect and report selected standardized information pertaining to customers in YouthBuild programs for the purposes of general program oversight, evaluation, and performance assessment. ETA provides all grantees with a YouthBuild management information system to use for collecting participant data and for preparing and submitting the required quarterly reports.
The increase in burden is due to the growing number of grantees in this program, from 85 three years ago to 220, and the doubling of participants, from the estimated 3,000 in the previous submission to 6,000 in 2010. Finally, the previous submission did not include the housing site description, one from each of the 220 grantees, which accounts for another 23 hours annually, for a total of 38,983 hours.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
