The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 requires CPSC to promulgate consumer product safety standards for durable infant or toddler products. CPSC is proposing a safety standard for toddler beds that incorporates the voluntary standard for toddler beds issued by ASTM International ASTM 1821-09. Sections of the voluntary standard which are proposed as a mandatory standard, contain requirements for marking, labeling, and instructional literature that are information collection requirements undre the PRA.
This is a new standard for Toddler Beds which contain requirements for marking and instructional literature that are disclosure requirements thus falling within the definition of "collections of informaiton" under the PRA.
