Records created in the normal course of business by employers subject to Title VII and the ADA will be maintained for a period of one year to assist EEOC in assuring compliance with the Acts' nondiscrimination requirements.
We calculated the annual hour burden based on the number of new firms with 15 or more employees that enter the market annually. Using 2006 data from the Small Business Administration, we estimated that there are 7,057 more firms that would incur costs pertaining to the Act than there were at the time of our previous approval. The increase in nunber of firms would result in a corresponding burden increase of 1,331 hours.
