Abstract: The Compliance Testing Program assures that body armor for law enforcement and corrections is tested and meets performance requirements throughout the declared performance period of the armor. Information requested includes agreements with participants and the description every body armor model under consideration for inclusion on the Compliant Products List (CPL). Models listed on the CPL are eligible for grant funding through the Ballistic Vest Partnership.

Short Statement: The emergency approval on this collection expired in June and we are requesting a reinstatement because data is needed from this collection. As a result of this collection expiring without discontinuing, the previous burden information is reported in the PRA violation column, even thought data was never collected using the emergency approval. The increase in responses and burden hours is due to a methodological correction made in this collection package.
