Owners or operators of affected facilities must 1) make one time notification of construction/reconstruction, modification, and start up; 2) submit reports containing information such as monitoring results and excess emission; and 3) maintain records of occurrences such as startups and shutdowns. Recordkeeping is also required to document process information regarding the: sulfur and nitrogen content of the fuel; fuel to water ratio; rate of fuel consumption; and ambient conditions. Implementation of the standard and compliance and enforcement activities requires this information. These records are required to be kept for two years.Responses to this information collection are deemed to be mandatory, per section 114 (a) of the Clean Air Act.
