In accordance with 5 CFR 1320, the information collection is approved for a eighteen months. However, with the next submission, the agency must consult with the Board and determine whether alternative collection and remittance procedures can be used to reduce burden on respondents. The agency must also consult with affected respondents to determine whether the recordkeeping requirements are standard business practice. The agency should provide to OMB the name and telephone number of those parties consulted about these issues.

Establishing an industry-funded promotion, research, and information program for lamb and lamb products including pelts but excluding wool and wool products. Lamb producers, seedstock producers, feeders, and exporters will pay an assessment of one- half cent ($.005) per pound when live lambs are sold. First handlers, primarly packers, would pay an additional 30 cents per head of lamb purchased.
