This is a revision of a currently approved information collection in support of a final rule, Child Nutrition Programs: Meal Patterns Consistent with the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. The rule allows SFSP sponsors, including non-profit institutions and camps, that serve primarily American Indian or Alaska Native children to serve vegetables to meet the grains requirement. The Summer Food Service Program provides assistance to states to initiate and maintain nonprofit food service programs for needy children during the summer months and at other approved times. The collection of information is required to administer and operate SFSP in accordance with the National School Lunch Act.
