Changes to survey instrument/questionnaire
• No changes made.
Changes to institutional eligibility
• Each year, institutions that report graduate completions to IPEDs in GSS-related fields that are not currently in the GSS are reviewed for eligibility. About 5 institutions each year are expected to be newly eligible.
• Review eligibility of existing institutions with 6 or fewer organizational units to keep the frame internally consistent.
◦ As a result of this review, 53 institutions reporting 6,900 (0.8%) graduate students in 2023 were identified as no longer eligible for the GSS in 2024.
