With the addition of Deep-Set Buoy Gear (DSBG) as a legal gear type under the Pacific Highly Migratory Species (HMS) Fishery Management Plan (FMP), this request is for extension and revision of this collection of information required by National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), West Coast Region – Long Beach Permits Office. Pursuant to final rule 0648-BK09, there are minor changes to individual data collections, as well as the addition of six new applications to the family-of-forms to account for the Federal Limited Entry Deep-Set Buoy Gear (LE DSBG) data collection. This statement addresses data collections authorized by the FMP for U.S. West Coast Fisheries for Pacific HMS, developed by the Pacific Fishery Management Council (PFMC) under the authority of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, U.S.C. 1801 et seq. (MSA). The FMP governs Pacific HMS fisheries in the U.S. exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
