For this renewal, the USPTO estimates that the number of responses will increase; which also results in an increase in the corresponding time burdens. The number of respondents is expected to increase as more individuals become aware of program and apply to it. Additionally, in response to the increased telecommunications readiness, due in part to COVID related telework, NSTI is offering additional webnairs and options for virtual participation. This is expected to increase participation in those events and result in additional surveys being completed.
