The CPSC is charged with protecting the public against dangers associated with consumer products. CPSC seeks to better understand consumers’ understanding of specific warning labels related to products intended for infants and how those labels influence behavior. Research is needed to understand the gap in consumer knowledge about product warning labels and their adherence to and behaviors associated with them. This survey will provide information on the subject. Findings may be used to help refine and enhance warning labels to effectively convey critical information about product warnings in the future. Additionally, this work will serve to further CPSC’s overall mission of protecting the public against dangers associated with consumer products.
