Abstract: The information collection requirements in 12 CFR part 1 ensure that national banks invest in entities that are exempt from registration as an investment company and ensure that banks do not hold securities for time periods that would be unsafe and unsound. The OCC uses the information to ensure compliance with Federal laws and regulations.
