This information collection involves mortgage loan servicers, "mortgagees" that service Federal Housing Administration "FHA" insured mortgage loans and the home owners, "mortgagors" who are involved with those activities. The new information request for OMB review seeks to combine a couple of existing OMB collections under one comprehensive collection for mortgagees that service FHA-insured mortgage loans and the mortgagors who are the home owners.

Name of Law: The National Housing Act
This comprehensive PRA involves all mortgage loan servicing activity of delinquent, defaulted, and foreclosed mortgage loans. Due to conditions in the mortgage industry, foreclosures have decrease. With this decrease, the information collection results in a slight decrease in the estimated number of responses, and a slight increase in annual burden hours. The estimated number of respondents increased because of a calculation error with the last reporting.
