To bring animals and animal products into the United States, importers must provide documentation and information to the USDA APHIS that verifies the cargo will not introduce BSE or other dangerous diseases into the country. This information is the minimum necessary to verify that the imported products are in compliance with U.S. standards.
The number of estimated respondents did not change but adjustments to responses and burden hour estimates resulted in an increase of 3,060 estimated responses and 17,063 estimated burden hours.
