Overall, the burden hours have decreased by 52,250 while the annual responses increased by 1,029. The number of respondents increased by 39,597. The number of respondents is 94,121 in this request.
The decreased burden hours were due to an overall 10% decreased in the number of the respondents since in the last OMB approval and a reevaluation of the previous burden estimates (for example, the average burden per collection reduced from 51 minutes to 18 minutes and per respondent reduced from 1 hour, 31 minutes to 19 minutes) plus the removal of travel times from the request. Also, the increased responses were that the borrowers were doing more service with FSA and completing forms FSA-2040 annually.
