APHIS is amending the animal disease regulations to provide for a National List of Reportable Animal Diseases, along with reporting responsibilities for individuals or entities that encounter or suspect cases of communicable animal diseases and disease agents. These changes will require an estimated 73,285 responses and 27,381 hours of burden from the public, businesses (mainly laboratories), and State laboratory and animal health officials.
