Abstract: OSHA is revising and updating its general industry standards on walking-working surfaces (29 CFR part 1910, subpart D) to prevent and reduce workplace slips, trips, and falls, as well as other injuries and fatalities associated with walking-working surface hazards. The final rule includes revised and new provisions addressing, for example, fixed ladders; rope descent systems; fall protection systems and criteria, including personal fall protection system

Short Statement: OSHA is requesting an adjustment decrease in the burden hours from 498,803 hours to 498,640 hours, a difference of 163 hours. The change in burden is due to a change in the methodology from decimals to fractions for the time per response. Also, the agency is requesting that the cost remains the same of $54,697,500.
