Short Statement: The change in burden is an ADJUSTMENT due to a change (i.e., decrease) in the estimated time to acquire an acceptable identification document. The time to acquire an acceptable identification document is based on the time to acquire a U.S. Passport. That time has decreased from 1.6 to 1.4 hours per application. There is no proposed change to the reporting or recordkeeping requirements of this collection. The reporting and recordkeeping requirements, and the methodology for calculating burden, remain unchanged.
