The U.S. Power Squadrons and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary members report observations of changes that require additions, corrections, or revisions to nautical charts using websites to report these items. The information provided is used by NOS cartographers to maintain and prepare new additions of nautical charts that are used nationwide by commercial and recreational navigators. The previous reporting systems, CCWEB and CUWEB were found to be a cyber-security risk and were immediately taken offline. The new reporting system is the Office of Coast Survey Inquiry, Discrepancy Reporting System (IDMS).
