Small Business Investment Companies (SBIC's) licensed as Impact SBIC's to make Fund-identified Impact Investment must submit to SBA assessments of their investment strategies. Assessments are to be completed by independent third-parties based on industry standards: 1st) due within 2 years of licensing and, 2nd) between the 5th and 7th year after licensing. SBA uses this information to evaluate and monitor regulatory compliance of only impact SBIC's making Fund-identified Impact Investment.
