Abstract: Following the completion of the first year of the Colony Loss Surveys (0535-0255) NASS received requests from bee and honey producers to change the questionnaires for both the 'Bee and Honey Surveys' and the 'Colony Loss Surveys' to make it easier on the producers to complete the questionnaires. NASS met with key data users and they agreed that the changes would be better.

Short Statement: Operations with fewer than five colonies are now being included in the survey. In addition there are new economic questions that are included on both questionnaires (operations with five or more colonies and operations with less than five colonies). These proposed changes are in response to a Presidential Initiative and to fulfill the requests of data users.
