Marking of explosives enables law enforcement entities to more effectively trace explosives from the manufacturer through the distribution chain to the end purchaser. This process is used as a tool in criminal enforcement activities.
An adjustment in the associated number of responses and burden hours were made to correct a calculation error in the 2013 submission. Although there are 2,205 respondents to this collection, each will respond 520 times resulting in a total 1,146,600 responses anually. Additionally the total time burden for this collection increased to 956 hours.
