The Master Address File (MAF) and Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (TIGER) database is the U.S. Census Bureau's integrated address geographic database. The MAF TIGER database is used for mailing and delivering questionnaires to households for our demographic current surveys as well as the decennial census. The Generic MAF TIGER clearance is needed in order to collect data to improve the MAF TIGER database. This will ensure an accurate address frame for the 2020 Census and current surveys.
