This information is submitted to HUD for review to ensure that owners follow HUD procedures regarding recovery efforts after a Presidentially-declared disaster.

Name of Law: Robert T Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act
This is an revision of a currently approved collection. The drastic change in inventory in item 13 of page 1 reflects a significant decrease in the number of Presidentially declared disasters involving individual assistance since last report. This is due to the fact that the number of respondents reflects the entire HUD-assisted nation. In the past three years there were only 8 reported disasters that impacted HUD-assisted buildings. The burden hours reflect time that may be required for owners impacted by a potential disaster to report damage to HUD. Owners are then directed to EPA for assistance from the state. Assuming there are none, we hopefully do not anticipate a nationwide disaster in the next three years.
