Abstract: Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 ATF requests nonimmigrant alien information to determine if a nonimmigrant alien is eligible to purchase, obtain, posses, or import a firearm. Nonimmigrant aliens also must maintain the documents while in possession of firearms or ammunition in the United States for verification purposes.
