The objective of the survey will be to understand the range of attitudes, preferences, and concerns that recreational anglers hold towards saltwater fishing. The survey will also examine angler satisfaction with current management and the types of goals and objectives that should be pursued (e.g., in developing guidelines). The survey is well timed to inform fisheries management and planning and establish a baseline for outreach and education. This change request is to add the Hawaii version of the survey.
US Code:
16 USC 1801 et seq.
Name of Law: Magnuson-Stevems Fishery Conservation and Management Act
The Hawaii version of the survey is estimated to take 5 minutees longer than the National version, thus adding 83 hours (1000 responses x 5 additional minutes).
