The purpose of this collection is to obtain sufficient data to certify that swine are raised according to methods and practices which will reduce or eliminate exposure of the swine to Trichinella spiralis.
There is a decrease in respondents from 1,250 in 2011 to 260 respondents, responses decreased from 14,089 to 3,793, and burden hours decreased from 7,494 to 2,118. Trade politics is the reason for the large decrease in participants, and there is a possibility the program will be discontinued before the next renewal.
