NMFS has evaluated the effects of the proposed modification of the regulations and has worked with the Council to develop the proposed rule to authorize residents of St. George Island to take sub-adult male fur seals and up to 150 male young of the year (i.e., pups) during a second autumn harvest season at all available breeding and hauling grounds coordinated between NMFS and the Council under co-management.
