Abstract: FDIC uses the Purchaser Eligibility Certification, the Contact Information form, and the Pre-Qualification Request to ensure compliance with statutory restrictions on who may purchase assets held by the FDIC, to identify the types of assets prospective bidders are interested in, to ensure prospective bidders understand the terms and conditions of asset sales, and to identify the appropriate bidder contact person.

Short Statement: The burden increase of of 300 hours is due to the addition of two forms to the collection. The Contact Information form, which adds 100 hours, identifies the types of assets a prospective bidder is interested in and facilitates communication with the prospective bidder. The Pre-Qualification Request Form, which adds 200 hours, is designed to determine which prospective bidders are qualified to bid on particular assets for which no further qualification criteria are required and to ensure that prospective bidders understand the terms and conditions of asset sales.
