The USDA Forest Service has a need to collect information for the use in testing and evaluating chemicals that are used in wildland fire activities. This is necessary for respondents to ensure the chemicals used in the products (1) are safe for personnel involved in wildland fire activities, (2) are safe for the environment, (3) do not lead to corrosion of equipment; and (4) to expedited procurement of the products.
By combining 3 OMB approved Information Collections 0596-0182, 0596-0183, & 0596-0184 into this one Information Collection Request, The total number of responses has decreased from 76 to 35, and total burden hours decreased from a total 86 hours to 38.5. Estimates were changed based on discussions with respondents regarding their future plans for reformulation of Wildfire Chemicals. This renewal requests approval for a combined total of 35 responses from 5 respondents and 39 burden hours.
