Based on information taken from EPA's 2008 Reregistration Eligibility Decision for Chromated Arsenicals, the Agency increased the number of employers covered by the standard from three to five. As a result, there is an adjustment in the burden hours from 384 to 637 hours. The total cost burden also increased from $31,165 to $54,197, due primarily to an increase in the costs of medical examinations including chest x-rays from $196 to $210.
