The Rule implements the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, 15 U.S.C. 6501 et seq., which prohibits unfair and deceptive acts and practices in collecting and using personally identifiable information from and about children via the Internet.
There are no program changes. The only adjustment is the increased estimate of the number of web entrants (prior estimate: 30; current estimate: 100) and the associated cumulative hours burden tied to that increased estimate.
