OSHA removed the requirements that employers who cease to do business or those with records with expired retention periods, transfer these records to NIOSH (specified in paragraphs 29 CFR 1910.1051(m)(6), under the Standards Improvement ProjectÂPhase III final rule. As a result of this rulemaking, the Agency requests a program change reduction of 3 hours and an annual cost reduction of $40.
