40 CFR part 63, subpart O, applies to owners or operators of commercial ethylene oxide(EO)sterilization and fumigation facilities using 1 ton of EO after December 6, 1994. Respondents must submit: initial notifications, performance tests, and periodic reports. Respondents are also required to maintain records of th occurrence and duration of any startup, shutdown, or malfunction in the operations of an affected facility, or any period which the monitoring system is inoperative. Semiannual reports are also required. These notification, reports, and records are essential in determining compliance with the standards.
