To provide Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC)which provides food benefits, nutrition education, and health care referrals to about 8 million participants per month, including pregnant women, infants, children, breastfeeding women, and postpartum women.
The OMB term of clearance for this ICR was that FNS would merge the burden approved under #0584-0545 with ICR #0584-0043, Â7 CFR Part 246, Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC): Vendor Cost Containment; Approval of Information Collection Request, prior to the expiration date of December 31, 2010.
The burden hours for #0584-0043 has increase by 14,919 due to the merge. The current burden is 3,595,075 and with the increase the new burden is 3,609,994.
