Name of Law: Black Lung Benefits Act
There is an adjustment to the total burden hour estimate which due to a recalculation of burden hours on the CM-2970 (from 10 minutes average response time to 20 minutes). There is a program change reduction resulting from the CM-970 and the CM-970a which have been obsolete and renewal is not requested; these forms were only required in all claims filed on or before January 19, 2001 and are replaced with the CM-2970 and CM-2970A.
There is an increase of $520.00 in the operation and maintenance cost due to the increase in postage.
