The Department of State is given an abbreviated 16 month approval. During this time, the Department of State will continue to develop SEVIS II, which will allow this collection to be submitted electronically. When this collection is resubmitted to OMB, all technical issues that have resulted in inaccurate data reporting should be corrected.

The Exchange Visitor Program Annual Report (Form DS-3097) is used by United States Government agencies and public and private organizations to annually report exchange visitor activites to the Department of State as set forth in 22 CFR 62.15
ECA modified the form and changed the questions on Program Evaluation. ECA also received a public comment that the previous burden time for completion was not sufficient.
