This information collection covers solicitation of applications for tax credit bonds under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA), which grants bonding authority to the Secretary of the Interior (Secretary) for the purpose of the construction, rehabilitation and repair of schools funded by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA).
This information collection is necessary to implement a section of the ARRA that allocates $200,000,000 in qualified school construction bonds for calendar year 2009 and $200,000,000 for calendar year 2010. We must obtain applications for the portion available only in calendar year 2009 as soon as possible to ensure that the amounts are allocated within the calendar year.
