This form is used when it is necessary to check other agency records (FBI, CIA, etc.) on applications or petitions submitted by applicants for benefits under the I&NA. Additionally, the form is required from applicants for adjustment to permanent resident status and specific applicants for naturalization.
There has been an increase of 152,731 estimated burden hours previously reported for this information collection. This increase can be attributed to matching the number of respondents reported in the OMB inventory for Forms I-485, N-400, and I-590, with the Forms G-325, G-325A, G-325B, and G-325C.
