One regulation bans juvenile products called baby-bouncer, walker-jumpers, and baby-walkers which present hazards of amputations, laceration, and other injuries to children's fingers, toes, or other parts of young chldren's bodies. A second regulation exempts products from the ban under specified conditions and requires labeling, maintenance of records concerning sales, production specifications, and quality assurance programs.
Based on past experience, CPSC staff have revised their estimate of the number of manufacturers from 28 firms to 34 and have included third party notification in our estimate of burden hours.
