Abstract: Provides data to estimate number of farm workers, hours worked, and wage rates. Department of Labor uses estimates of wage rates in the administration of the “H-2A” program (non-immigrants who enter the United States for temporary or seasonal agricultural labor) and for setting “Adverse Effect Wage Rates.”

Short Statement: The increase in number of responses is due to the increase in the usage of the pre-survey publicity materials to improve response rates. The decrease in burden hours is due mainly to the availability of California data being made available from the California State Government, so that NASS does not need to conduct the Labor Survey in this State.
