The general purpose of the Nutrition Education Evaluation and Reporting System (NEERS) is to provide the data needed to assure the quality of the educational program and to provide diagnostic assessments of participant needs and summarize data for state and national assessment of the program's impact.
The increase in total burden is a result of a program change that added the 1890 land-grant institutions as recipients of EFNEP funds. The 1890 land-grant institutions are now recipients as the result of CSREESÂ implementation of a revised EFNEP formula allocation based in regulation. The burden for each institutionÂs response has not changed, but the increase of eligible recipients does increase the overall annual burden total.
