OSHA is proposing to increase the existing burden hour estimate of the collection of information requirements specified by the Standard. In this regard, the Agency is proposing to increase the current burden hour estimate from 773,205 hours to 854,538 hours, a total increase of 81,333 hours. The adjustment increase is due to updated data indicating a growth in the number of powered industrial trucks from 999,000 to 1,134,699 and the number of operators from 1,540,315 to 1,702,048. There is also an increase in the cost burden under Item 13 (from $210,000 to $238,245). This cost increase is also due to an increase in the number of powered industrial trucks.
