The Child Nutrition Database is designed to be incorporated into approved nutrition analysis software and provide an accurate source of nutrient data, allowing schools to analyze the meals served and measure compliance.
PL:
Pub.L. 110 - 161 9
Name of Law: Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act
There is a reduction of 60 burden hours. This reduction results from a decrease in the number of submissions with incomplete data as part of the functionality of the new electronic format of Form FNS-710. The electronic format form FNS-710 in the CN Database does not allow users to submit incomplete forms. Additionally, respondents take more time to submit new product information than they need when submitting updates to existing product information, reducing the overall burden of hours. The number of respondents and total annual response has also decreased. FNS will discontinue Form FNS-709, CN Database Report: Products Missing Nutrient Information because it has been combined with the FNS-710 form.
